How can an artist stand out from the thousands of others posting song covers on YouTube? Well, breaking away from the norm of self-recorded-in-a-bedroom videos can definitely help. And in her latest video, Jessica Ashley does just that, upping the production value significantly from what we’re used to seeing on YouTube.

To achieve this, she teamed up with fellow NYU student (and aspiring filmmaker) Arnold Aldridge, who incorporated nighttime cityscape and projection effects into her video covering Lady GaGa’s “Born This Way,” giving it a professionally recorded, major label music video feel.

And speaking of how to stand out, Jessica also ends the video with a full-fledged dance routine. Triple threat alert!
