In her latest video, Jessica Ashley teams up with Anthony Hall, another great unsigned artist to watch, to strip down Jessie J‘s breakout single, “Price Tag.”

When we first heard Jessica’s early original material, we pegged her as an adult contemporary, diva-esque artist (a la Christina Aguilera/Celine Dion). And while she certainly has the pipes for that, covers like this show that she’s just as comfortable, if not more so, with Top 40 pop. It will be interesting to see which way her future original material ends up leaning, something we plan on discussing with her in our upcoming interview – stay tuned!
